NIU is one of the best rated brands for commuter electric scooters for under $1000. They have other models on sale this week for Amazon Prime Day, but the KQi 300P is the one that I bought. The NIU website, Amazon, and Best Buy are all selling for this price, so pick the one where you get the service, cash back, credit card points, etc. Best Buy may have them available for local pickup if you don’t want to deal with free (but not always reliable) Amazon Prime shipping.

List price on the NIU website is $899, which is kind of a hoax. Amazon and Best Buy have been selling them for around $539 for the last few months. Prime Day sale price is $479, which is a healthy $60 discount. I expect the price to go back up after Amazon Prime Day.
