Open a new line on an eligible Verizon myPlan Unlimited tier and trade in any working smartphone (Apple, Google, Motorola, or Samsung), and the iPhone 18 Pro comes out free. The $1,200 credit is applied as equal bill credits over 36 months, so it shows up gradually on the bill rather than at checkout. Upgrading an existing line instead of opening a new one caps the credit at $1,020. An activation fee of $40 does apply, though.
Verizon also has a no-trade-in route: enroll in the Switch + Annual Upgrade plan (around $80/month after Auto Pay and switcher discounts) and get the phone with no trade-in required, plus the option to upgrade again every year.
